Top places to Eat in Los Angeles
There are a ton of places to eat at in Los Angeles with a food outlet on almost every corner, It is worth doing your research or asking locals if they have any recommendations.
Here are our top 5 places to eat from our time in L.A.
- 7 Eleven
A convenience store? Our top place? Really?!
Hands down, 7 Eleven was one of our favourite places to eat from. You may think 7 Eleven is just a quick pit stop shop usually where you would pick a few things up from but don’t be fooled, it is much more. They offer a great selection of hot and cold food whether it is a snack or meal; from Taquitos and pizza’s to salads and sandwiches. The food was cooked fresh in store, tasted good and fairly cheap. There were also the Slurpees, these were insanely tasty and rewarding during the day when the sun was pounding down on us.
Location: Dotted around almost every corner in Los Angeles
Cost: $ – $$
- Panda Express
If you didn’t already know, we love our oriental food.
Panda Express is a great Chinese fast food chain which you can find all over Los Angeles. The place is busy and has a buffet style selection which is good as you can mix and match, it also means the food should be fresh as its in constant rotation. We would recommend the orange chicken as one of several additions to accompany your noodles or rice.
Location: Across Los Angeles (Google locations beforehand)
Cost- $ – $$$
- Kang Ho-Dong Baekjeong
Did you know Korea Town in Los Angeles has the highest population of Koreans outside of its capital Seoul!
This is a great joint where you choose your own meat and then cooked it from scratch on your very own BBQ, if you don’t fancy cooking your own meal the staff are more than willing to help. Great atmosphere and food were the right ingredients for a fantastic eating experience. There is a good selection of appetizers and sides to accompany your dinner. If you like Korean food or Asian food you have to try here.

- Cheesecake Factory
Yes, the place Drake shares with us in his song Child’s play.
Cheesecake factory is what it is, a place to buy yourself either a slice or whole cheesecake. There is a wide range and variety to choose from and you have plenty of time to decide as there is usually a short queue. Cheesecake Factory also offers a full sit-down restaurant that has over 250 great dishes on its menu ranging from breakfast until dinner and those in between. Definitely worth the visit even if it’s only for a dessert!
Location: Santa Monica- Also throughout L.A.

- Denny’s
A traditional American diner, Denny’s offers the full experience no matter what time of day you visit.
We would recommend breakfast where you can get those famous classics or dinner where you can indulge in a gigantic burger. The Lunch selection is also a great option where the salads are refreshing and keep you feeling light for the rest of your day.
